The journey of Jnan Vikas Mandal’s New English School & Jr. College, Kalwa has been towards ‘Excellence’ in the field of education. Our school has Nursery, Pre – Primary, Primary, Secondary and Jr. College sections with 4815 students and 150 staff. No stone has been left unturned in setting up the infrastructure – a well - stocked Library, 5 laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science and IT, Sports room, Play – ground & basketball court for senior students, play room & a game park for junior students, Canteen, E – Learning facility in every classroom, water – coolers on every floor etc. which are some of the things every student of the school can feel proud of.

Hall mark of education is overall development of students. So the school has facilitated a ‘Music Academy’ to train the students in dance, playing guitar, tabla and musical key board. Learning ‘Self defence’ is the need of every child in the present – day scenario. So the step to coach the students in ‘Martial Art’ has been taken.

Throughout the year various competitions are conducted in patriotic song, elocution, debate, prose – recitation, essay writing and quiz. Students are given the first – hand experience through exhibition in Science, Art – Craft & funfair. The school intends to prepare the students for life.
