Cyber Crime Rules

1. Compensation up to Rs.1 Crore under section 43 for :-

Unauthorized access.
Body corporate Possessing, dealing or handling sensitive personal data or negligence of protecting or securing the same.

2. Three years imprisonment or penalty of Rs. 5 Lakhs or both under section 66 for:

Hacking dishonesty or fraudulently
Sending Email messages related to insult or criminal intent.

3. Three years imprisonment or penalty or RS.1 Lakhs or both under section 66 B for :

Receiving or retaining stolen computer resources/devices.
Theft
Cheating or impersonation using computer resources/devices.
Violating the privacy by publishing /transmitting any private message of a person without his / her consent.

4. Life imprisonment under section 66 B for :-

Sending Terror mail.

5. Penalty of Rs.5 Lakhs with 3 years imprisonment or Rs.10 Lakhs with five years imprisonment under section 67 for :-

Publication of any material which tends to deprave and corrupt.

6. Penalty of Rs.10 Lakhs with 5 years imprisonment or Rs.10 Lakhs with seven years imprisonment under section 67 A for :-

Publication or causing to publish sexually explicit material.

7. Penalty of Rs.10 Lakhs for five or seven years imprisonment under section 67 B for :-

Child Pornography
